In Israel we have a saying:

יום שלישי פעמיים כי טוב

This means Tuesday is "twice as good" and it comes from the story of creation, the very first chapter of Bereshit (or the Book of Genesis), when God says two times, at the end of the third day, "it was good."

"And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas, and God saw that it was good" (Bereshit 1:10)

"And the earth gave forth vegetation, seed-yielding herbs according to its kind, and trees producing fruit, in which its seed is found, according to its kind, and God saw that it was good" (Bereshit 1:12)

Once a month, on Tuesday, a very special donor steps up to match donations made over a 24 hours period. This special project, which launched eight years ago, has gone a long way to support our mission, and the many soldiers we feed across the State of Israel.
